There has been a lot of buzz around the Cupertino giant lately as it
has started to focus more of connected devices than smartphones.
Speculations are already high on the release of iWatch this year as
many analysts believe it would give apple the much needed room for
innovation. But critics have been going on this move would prove to
be too little too late for Apple as other manufacturers have brought
in their devices much before but did not yield any fruit.
But latest revelations state that Apple Has Been Working On Wearable
Health Sensors Since 2007, the year the iPhone first came out. A lot
has been said about iWatch and Apple’s plan to innovate the healthmarket. Reports have already predicted that it would have a much
greater emphasis on health than expected. Now an uncovered patent
filing has shown that Apple has been working on health sensors long
before any other manufacturer even thought of this idea.
Since the release of the first iPhone in 2007, Apple has been working
on wearable health sensors. Moreover, Last month, Apple was in contact with FDA related to
medical devices that it plans to bring in the market and an iOS
applications that can work with those devices. This so called “health
book” app would put all health related data into core iOS
functionality and will be collected via devices such as iWatch.
Apple has been pushing this product for a long period of time. It has
already brought in experts in sleep research, non-invasive blood
measurements, and fitness. Moreover, report also indicate that Apple
plans of putting new technology into these devices that can even
predict heart attacks before they occur.
For more than half a decade, Apple has been working on finding new
ways to build sensors for measuring things like temperature,
perspiration, heart rate and motion. These entities can tell much
about about current health and can prove to be a game changer in the
ecosystem of health related connected devices.
